The Bund
One of the most popular destinations in Shanghai for tourists and locals alike, the Bund is a waterfront walkway that stretches one mile along the bank of the Huangpu River. Lined by dozens of impressive and historical buildings, it’s surely a sight to see so don’t forget your camera!

Pudong
Once you’ve had a glance at the unique architecture of Pudong from your walk along the Bund, you’ll be sure to want to see it up close. Stop at the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, a gigantic TV and radio tower, which rises over 1,500 feet into the sky. The “pearls” of the tower house residences, lounges, a futuristic space city, and a revolving restaurant, offering unparalleled views of Shanghai.

M50
50 Moganshan Road, or “M50” as it’s known, is a thriving, contemporary art district that hosts over 120 galleries and art studios. The M50 site was once home to the Chunming Slub Mill, but transitioned around 2000 when a local artist discovered the discounted rent of the unused factories and warehouses. Soon other artists followed, and the large site has been converted into an art lover’s paradise of galleries, studios, agencies, and other visual art companies, making M50 a fun and interesting way to spend an afternoon in Shanghai.
Yuyuan Gardens
A famous garden in the Yuyuan Business and Tourist District, Yuyuan Gardens are truly a relaxing paradise in the heart of Shanghai. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, the gardens have been called the “crown beauty in Southeast China.” The surrounding temples and waterways are sure to impress, while taking you on a journey back in time.
During the day, be sure to visit other popular sites in the gardens such as the Wall of Cloud Piercing Dragon, Spring Transforming Hall and Grand Rockery. Later, enjoy shopping in the surrounding bazaar and sipping tea in Shanghai’s oldest tea room, and be sure to stay after dusk when the entire complex lights up in spectacular fashion.
